What raitop.com collects, why, how long it is kept and how to ask us to delete it.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Raitop Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“Raitop”, “we”). Questions about this policy or about your data can be sent to the contact address on our contact page.

Information you send us

When you use the RFQ form or email us, we store what you provide: your name, company, email address, phone number if given, the destination country or region, the part numbers and quantities, your application and your message. We also record the page the form was sent from, the referrer and any UTM parameters in the link you arrived through, the IP address the request came from, and the browser user agent.

Why: to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, run the resulting order, check that we are allowed to supply the destination and end use in question, and to keep records required for business and tax purposes. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one, and our legitimate interest in running and documenting the business.

How long: enquiry records are kept for as long as the commercial relationship and applicable record-keeping obligations require, and are then deleted.

Website statistics

We run our own server-side statistics. No third-party analytics service is used, no advertising pixels are embedded, and no tracking cookie is set for statistics.

For each page view we record: the date and time, the path requested, the referring URL and any UTM parameters, the country estimated from the IP address, a device category (desktop, mobile, tablet) derived from the user agent, the user agent string, and a visitor identifier. The visitor identifier is a salted one-way hash of the IP address and user agent that is regenerated every day, which lets us count visitors and group a single browsing session together without storing your IP address in the statistics and without following you from one day to the next.

The country is an estimate supplied by our CDN from the IP address. VPNs, proxies and corporate networks routinely place a visitor in the wrong country, and where no reliable signal exists the record says “Unknown”.

Why: to understand which products and pages are useful, which channels bring enquiries and whether search engines can reach the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website.

How long: raw page-view rows are deleted automatically after the retention period configured in our admin (400 days by default).

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not set any cookie. A session cookie is set only inside the administration area, which is restricted to our own staff, and is strictly necessary for signing in.

Server logs and security

Our web server and our CDN keep standard access logs, including IP addresses, for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Failed administration sign-in attempts are logged with the IP address so that attacks can be detected and rate-limited.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Your data may be processed by service providers acting for us: our hosting provider, our CDN, and our email provider. Where a quotation requires it, the part numbers and quantities — not your personal contact data unless it is necessary — may be shared with the manufacturer or a logistics provider in order to fulfil the request.

International transfers

Our servers and our company are located outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we do so to run the enquiry or contract you asked us about.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our processing it. Write to the address on our contact page and we will respond. If you ask us to delete an enquiry we will do so unless we are required to keep the record.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
